next to neptune | I am a virgo but with pisces moon, cancer ascendant and cancer jupiter. I've always been on the thin line, though these placement on my moon and jupiter points to a person having problems with their weight. So I always wondered why some people seems to have an extremely hard time with this? I have never really needed to look out or anything, since I was 15 I have had the exactly same weight almost. I know another person with pisces moon and cancer ascendant (with leo jupiter) who has a much harder time, also seems to have problem controlling what they are eating. So what in the chart could make a person having problems with their weight, like having troubles with not eating too much etc. ?

Dreaminess | Jupiter aspects to any personal planets or sag placements. I have a friend with sun conjunct jupiter and she overeats all the time, she even eats when she`s not even hungry and have trouble with her weight. Another one with moon opposite jupiter and she to "overdo" her eating, not only eating but drinking to. Taurus/2nd house placements can also make someone have a "thing" for food and make people have a hard time with their weight. |
charlie | I know a few Cancer Moons and they eat a lot! Especially when emotionally unbalanced! |
next to neptune | quote: Originally posted by Vajra: Where's your moon? In my experience the moon (emotional nature) plays a pivotal role for this, because overeating and weight gain related to it happens often for emotional causes. Some Moon signs are more prone to eating for comfort than others, while some are generally not into eating much at all. In particular, Gemini and Aries Moons are said to be not much into eating, while the water moons could be more prone to it. I guess the aspects to the moon should be taken into account too.
I have a pisces moon 29 degrees in 10th house and I have never been prone to overeating, but I know another pisces moon who is:S When I am emotional I tend to eat candy, but I don't gain weight, because the next day I'll be eating nothing. But other people I know with pisces moon seems like they cannot hold that "balance". Maybe it is just because I am a virgo sun afterall, virgo people always seems to be skinny in my opinion.. What about a leo jupiter in 3rd house, sextile sun and mars, would that lead to overeating? |
jupitersgirl | Jupiter in the 1st house, is the most obvious I think. |

Not always. My brother has it and he's fit, not fat. But then again, he has Cap Asc.I'd imagine having moon in 1st would make you fractuate in weight. Or Moon sq your Asc. |
alyssa27 | i have cancer asc conjunct cancer jupiter 2degrees from the 12th and a libra moon in 3rd..i'm also thin and always been thin..saturn opposes jupiter by 4 degrees and asc by 6 degrees maybe that's it but i think it has to do with genetics more

MoonBunny | I don't think it is true that Gemini moons do not like to eat. My cousin is a Gemini moon and she absolutely loves food and has been known to over-eat just as often as me, a Cancer moon. She has struggled with weight her whole life. Also she is a a quadruple Gemini. Because of this I can't agree lol. |
Solar_Leo_Queen | I've heard Sag risings have trouble with weight, although I'm not sure because I am not one. I personally don't agree with Cancer moons overeating when emotionally unstable. I have this placement and whenever I'm upset about something, I don't eat. I stay in my room and mope lol. Maybe Jupiter on the Ascendant? Also, I would think a Mars-Jupiter conjunction in hard aspect to the Moon, would most likely indicate that type of person. I think Mars would also play a role in this because it does rule the overall physique. |
PixieJane | I know of one Pisces moon Cancer rising (and Libra sun, plus some placement in Taurus but I forget what) guy and he didn't have a problem with weight...but when he felt really depressed he could indulge in many things, from alcohol to sweets, so the potential was certainly there. But really, I think genetics and environment/upbringing play a lot more in that than the heavens, at least for the most part (and not counting indirect influences). |
SaturnFan | Taurus Moon here, and have absolutely been guilty of over eating and comfort eating. This might be influenced by my t-square though (my Moon squares Venus/AC and sits opposite Pluto). I had issues with my weight but I finally got it in control a few years ago. It only happened after I stopped viewing it as a vanity thing and started considering it from a point of view of taking care of my health. Then losing weight just became a separate, inevitable bonus. |
DeepFreeze | I know one who has very noticeable swings in weight and has struggled for most of their life. Cancer sun Cancer moon Leo mercury Gemini Venus Leo mars Not sure of the connection. Cancer perhaps? She loves to cook, especially baking. |
Koho | I'm a Taurus rising with Jupiter in the 1st. I have to run 7 days a week for 3-6+ miles and weight lift for extra measure at least 3-5 days. If I don't do this my appetite brings in too many calories and I get fat, fast. I'm either going to be incredibly fit for my entire life or a fatty later in life. Transits play a big part in my weight shifts naturally. Gained a lot of weight on a Jupiter sq Sun, lost it with a Saturn trine Mars, and now I suddenly have a sweet tooth with Jupiter square Ascendant but the weight is being maintained In general weight is always tough on me. I count calories every day, I weigh and measure my food, and all sorts of ridiculousness. My Virgo rising cousin with Jupiter in the 1st is really fat. I've never met anyone in my life that can eat more than me but Taurus Moon people come the closest. Particularly a Leo Ascendant Taurus Moon. My Cousin gets fat with junk food, he doesn't have much of an appetite even with Jupiter in the 1st. If I get fat it's usually with high quality, nutritious food and lots of it. I don't like sweets or any kind of junk food. |
Astrohippiegirl | I have noticed that planets in the 1st house have a big influence on appearance. My ex had an aquarius rising with Jupiter conjunct Mars in Pisces in the 1st house so he was big (Jupiter) but muscular and toned (Mars) and a very aggressive |
LaceyLeigh | I'm not sure. I'm jupiter dominant with jupiter in the first and I have a sagittarius ascendant. I have always been thin, but I do over eat. |

1.) Jupiter in angular aspect to Moon and/or Asc, especially if Jupiter is in the 1st house of a correct chart; this is the expansion principle of 'more.' 2.) Moon same aspects; Moon is appetite. 3.) Emphasis of planets in indulgent signs or Cancer. ------------------ Professional astrology - Expert rectification http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/ Rising Sign descriptions: https://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/rising-signs-2/ |
mztiny | I heard ascendant (want) conjunct Mars (get) causes overindulgent. My Bf has this aspect (Leo rising, Leo Mars) she has A lot of trouble with her weight, is is technically obese by medical standards. She also is a Taurus sun. Aqua moon. |

I'm a gemini moon, I love food but I'm a 29 deg gemini moon, so I supppose it also has some cancer influence, it trines my libra asc tho. My jupiter is in sag conjuncting uranus in 2nd house.
